REJECTION LETTERS AGAIN?You must have seen this headline and chuckled because this is something you do not want to see or hear this morning. Well, you must at some point talk about handling rejection mails. The entirety of rejection mails itself is disappointing.

How do you Handle Rejection first? This particular question is not simple. Imagine the scenario where you apply for a scholarship and get rejected. The overthinking begins, the self-doubt, you begin to blame your village people that are minding their business (as they should), you think you lost it all. The normalcy of this feeling is justified at our down point.

Acceptance & seeing other possibilities

I have come to realize that nothing can actually outphase me. I received those letters and I conditioned my mind to face it as it came. This might come off as generic and regular but how can I get better if I do not get turned down? I might feel like I have done my best but is my best good enough? How about other people’s ‘best’? It might just be that other people’s best are more suitable than mine and that is ok too.

Although Humans are emotional beings, some level of rejection is an inevitable part of life. Nevertheless, rejection can become a problem when it is prolonged or consistent, when an individual is highly sensitive to rejection, he or she can have negative effects, particularly when it results in a number of adverse psychological consequences such as low self-esteem, and depression. It can also lead to feelings of insecurity and a heightened sensitivity

Whether the rejection we experience is large or small, one thing remains constant — it always hurts, and it usually hurts more than we expect it to. Most rejections, whether romantic, professional, and even social, are due to qualification and circumstance. Reminding ourselves that Rejection is not the end but just a REDIRECTION… The best part is the recovery, moving on with confidence and optimism.
